Terms & Conditions

The essentials of using Rollsy, from your first photo to the shared reveal.

Updated

This page explains Rollsy’s current product and service rules. It does not replace the photo-sharing agreement shown when a guest joins an event or the package details shown with an order.

Using Rollsy

Rollsy helps hosts collect photographs contributed by their event guests and bring them together in a shared gallery. Guests use their own phones to capture different perspectives of the same event.

Event capacity, available features, schedules and gallery access follow the details of the event and its applicable package.

Joining an event

Guests do not need to download an app or create an organizer account. Before joining, each guest provides a display name and accepts the required photo-sharing agreement. A host can also require a guest-entry PIN.

The chosen display name identifies the guest’s contributions. It is not verification of the guest’s real-world identity.

Photos and review

Photographs and the guest’s chosen name are uploaded to the event server. Guests cannot preview, retake or delete their photographs before reveal.

Authorized event administrators can review uploads before reveal and hide photographs from the shared gallery. Hiding a photograph does not delete the stored image.

Orders and activation

Preparing or saving an event draft does not activate guest entry. Activation uses an eligible event credit. Guest entry then follows the event’s schedule.

For orders requiring payment, submitting a payment report or receipt is separate from staff verification of settlement. Payment verification and credit fulfillment are separate steps.

Review the package, price, guest capacity and order details before placing an order. Keep the order reference for any payment or support questions.

Devices and connectivity

Joining and taking new photographs require an internet connection. Camera quality, capture speed and available controls vary between phones and browsers. Use an up-to-date supported browser and try the free demo on the phone you plan to use.

If saving is interrupted, reconnect and keep the event open until accepted photographs finish saving. A photograph waiting to save is not confirmation that it has reached the server.

Hosting and storage

Rollsy uses Cloudflare infrastructure to run the service. Application records use Cloudflare D1, and photographs use Cloudflare R2.

Access to photographs follows the event’s administrator permissions and reveal rules described above. Using Cloudflare does not change who can view a revealed gallery through its shared link.

Questions

For questions about a specific event, its schedule or its shared links, contact the event host. For more information about the experience, read the answers on the Rollsy landing page.
